Fibre broadband

The Parish Council is acting as the contact for two possible fibre broadband schemes for homes and business in the parish.

These are very much possibilities at this stage - the feasibility of these schemes is not known until the companies have looked at who is interested.

One option is Intouch Systems.

Detail of the packages offered by Intouch Systems are given below.

It may be possible to make use of the government Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme for the installation costs.

Intouch systems have told the Parish Council that addresses in the following postcodes are eligible for the Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme:

NR9 4AD

NR9 4BH

NR9 4QH

NR9 4QJ

NR9 4QP

NR9 4QR

NR9 4QS

NR9 4QT

NR9 4QU

NR9 4QX

It is possible that the vouchers may be available for other postcodes in the parish at a later date but this is not definite.

The other option is with Openreach.

Details of packages offered by Openreach and of eligibility for the Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme have not been provided but will be available before the scheme is finalised and you make any commitment.

In order to progress we need to submit the names and addresses of interested residents and businesses to Intouch Systems and Openreach. Once this is done, more details will be made available about the feasibility of fibre broadband connection and what is on offer.

There is no obligation at this stage to proceed. This is merely an expression of interest.
