EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURES

LOCAL PLANNED ROAD CLOSURES

Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (STRO12047) affecting the C160 Woodrising Road from its junction with U35039 Hook Lane for 100m north-westwards (the “Road”) in the Parish of Cranworth to facilitate BT pole replacement works, the Road will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be between 08:00 and 17:00 from 14th to 17th March 2025 only whilst signs indicating closures are in place, but may continue to be closed until the 28th April 2025 where the closure is still required beyond the
anticipated dates.

 

Alternative route is via: C160 Woodrising Road/ Mill Road, U35042 Townshend Place/ Pound Green Lane, A1075 Market Street/ Dereham Road, C200 Birds Corner/ Shipdham Road/ Station Road, B1135 Norwich Road/ Whinburgh Road/ The Lings/ Low Street/ Norwich Road, C161 Middle Road/ Church Road/ Church Lane/ Southburgh Road (Whinburgh and Westfield, Cranworth, Hardingham, Garvestone,
Reymerston and Thuxton, Yaxham, Shipdham).

 

Vehicular access will be permitted to a final destination in the Road where signs indicating such access is possible and permitted are in place. The Order shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 28th April 2025 without further notice. If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date the Order is effective. A person who contravenes, or who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the closure imposed by the Order shall be guilty of an offence.

Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (STRO12014) affecting the C200 Norwich Road from its junction with U35080 Blind Lane for 200m westwards (the “Road”) in the Parish of Mattishall to facilitate BT pole test works, the Road will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be between 09:30 and 15:30 on 13 th March 2025, but may continue to be closed/restricted until the 24th April 2025 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.


Alternative route is via: C200 Mattishall Road, C167 Barnham Broom Road/Honingham Road/ Bell Road/ Rush Green/ Barnham Broom Road, B1108 Norwich Road, B1135 Dereham Road/ Norwich Road/ Low Street/ The Lings/ Dereham Road/ Whinburgh Road, C200 Norwich Road/ Yaxham Road/ Norwich Road and vice versa (Hardingham, Garvestone, Reymerston and Thuxton, Yaxham,Whinburgh and Westfield, Barnham Broom, Brandon Parva, Coston, Runhall and Welborne, Kimberley, East Tuddenham, Mattishall).


Vehicular access will be permitted to a final destination in the Road where signs indicating such access is possible and permitted are in place. The Order shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 24th April 2025 without further notice. If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the
date the Order is effective.

Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (STRO11530) affecting the C161 Church Lane from 621m northeast of its junction with U35035 Southburgh Road for 150m north-eastwards (the “Road”) in the Parishes of Garvestone, Reymerston and Thuxton to facilitate BT pole testing, the Road will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be between 09:30 and 15:30 on 29th November 2024, but may continue to be closed until the 10th January 2025 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.


Alternative route is via: C161 Church Lane, U35177 Manson Green/ Dereham Road, B1108 Church Street/ Watton Road, C159 Woodrising Road/ Road From Woodrising to Hingham, C160 Woodrising Road, C161 Southburgh Road (Hingham, Cranworth,
Hardingham, Garvestone, Reymerston and Thuxton). Vehicular access will be permitted to a final destination in the Road where signs
indicating such access is possible and permitted are in place.

Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (STRO11490) affecting the Yaxham Road from its junction with C211A Stone Road for 70m westwards (“Road A”); Dereham Road from its junction with C211A Stone Road for 50m eastwards (“Road B”) and Stone Road from its junction with C200 Yaxham Road for 60m northwards (“Road C”) in the Parish of Mattishall to facilitate overhead fibre installation works, the Roads A, B and C will be temporarily closed/restricted (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be between 09:30 and 15:30 on 1 st November 2024, but may continue to be closed/restricted until the 13 th December 2024 where the closure/restriction is still required beyond the anticipated dates.


Alternative route is via:
Road A and B: C200 Dereham Road/ Yaxham Road/ Norwich Road, B1135 Whinburgh Road/ Dereham Road/ The Lings/ Low Street/ Norwich Road/ Dereham Road, B1108 Norwich Road, C167 Barnham Broom Road / Rush Green / Bell Road / Honingham Road / Barnham Broom Road, C200 Mattishall Road / Norwich Road and vice versa. Road C: C211A Stone Road / Mattishall Road, C496 Norwich Road / Norwich Street, C585 Station Road, C584 / A1075 Yaxham Road, B1135 Yaxham Road / Dereham Road / Norwich Road, C200 Norwich Road / Yaxham Road and vice versa. (Kimberley, Mattishall, Hardingham, Whinburgh and Westfield, Garvestone, Reymerston and Thuxton, Yaxham, East Tuddenham, Barnham Broom, Brandon Parva, Yaxham, Dereham).

Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (STRO11245) affecting the C200 Norwich Road from its junction with U35006 Paper Street for 33m south-westwards and 61m north-eastwards (“Road A”) and U35006 Paper Street from its junction with C200 Norwich Road for 35m northwards (“Road B”) in the Parish of Yaxham to facilitate BT pole testing works, the Roads A and B will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be between 09:30 and 15:00 on 9th October 2024 only whilst signs indicating closures are in place, but may continue to be closed until the 20th November 2024 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.


Alternative route is via: A) C200 Norwich Road/ Yaxham Road/ Dereham Road/ Norwich Road/ Mattishall Road, C167 Barnham Broom Road/ Honingham Road/ Bell Road/ Rush Green/ Dereham Road/ Norwich Road/ Low Street/ The Lings/ Dereham Road/ Whinburgh Road and; B) U35006 Paper Street/ Cutthroat Lane, B1135 Dereham Road/ Norwich Road (Hardingham, Garvestone, Reymerston and Thuxton,
Yaxham, Whinburgh and Westfield, Barnham Broom, Brandon Parva, Coston, Runhall and Welborne, Kimberley, East Tuddenham, Mattishall).
