We are absolutely delighted to announce that this year’s Community Champion Award has been awarded to Michael Garrod in recognition of his outstanding, long-standing service to the community.

Michael has dedicated countless hours over many years to supporting, improving and advocating for Garvestone, Reymerston and Thuxton. From his work on the Parish Council to his hands-on involvement in village events, community initiatives and tireless efforts behind the scenes, Mike's commitment to the wellbeing of the parish has been unwavering.

His passion for the area and his quiet determination to make a difference has touched the lives of so many. Whether it's offering a helping hand to neighbours, lending his time and skills to local projects or simply being a trusted and familiar face in the community, Michael embodies the very spirit of what it means to be a Community Champion.
