WALK OF PEACE AND

REMEMBRANCE SPACE

The project to commemorate the servicemen from the parish who fell in WW1 has now been completed.

Parishioners from Garvestone, Reymerston and Thuxton have been working together over recent months to create a Remembrance Space in the meadow behind St Peter’s Church, Reymerston and a walking trail linking the three churches in the parish.

The project was completed just before Remembrance Day 2020 and commemorates 26 servicemen from the three villages who gave their lives in the Great War of 1914-1918. Each has been recognised and remembered by the planting of a tree at the site.

Visitors to the site can access the recently built shelter which includes detailed information boards and leaflets.

The leaflets provide further information about the project, including maps of the Walk of Peace which is associated with the Remembrance Space. Please find PDF downloads below.
